The place and environments
The Rifugio Madonna delle Nevi was built in 1947 and lies in a beautiful alpine setting, surrounded by the silence of deep woods and the cheerful chant of several streams. At an altitude of 1359 m, it is at the end of one of the branches of the Brembana Valley, 50 km from Bergamo and 5 km from Mezzoldo, the closest village. The Rifugio is reachable by car using the road which goes up to the San Marco Pass, which connects the Brembana Valley with Valtellina.
The Rifugio can host up to 130 guests, in rooms of different sizes (from 2 to 6 beds, with or without en-suite bathroom) in the main hotel building or inside other two separate buildings, which can also be rented privately by groups.
The structure
The Rifugio contains:
Two meeting-rooms
One soccer pitch (for up to 7 players)
Two multipurpose pitches (for 5 players for football, volleyball, basketball or tennis)
One 150 sq. m marquee
Free Wi-Fi Internet access (password available at the Reception)
The Rifugio is open:
at weekends all year round (on week-days only on request)
from the beginning of June to the end of September (all week)
at Christmas (two weeks) and at Easter (one week)

The House of the Royal Eagle
The ‘House of the Royal Eagle’ is the main building of the <em>Rifugio</em>. It hosts on the ground floor the Bar and the Restaurant. It has a vast terrace, with spectacular views over the valley.

The recently refurbished ‘House of Marmots’ is ideal for groups looking for a venue for function-stays and activities. This building can be rented privately by groups.

The ‘House of Birch’ is particularly suitable for families and small groups. It has its own private lawn, where the birches grow, offering their cool shade in the summer. This building can also be rented privately by groups.
